The United Kingdom is made up by Scotland, Wales, England and Notherm Ireland. I'm going to focus on England. England lies in the south and central part of Great Britain. It has a temparate climate. It has the largest population in Great with eighty percent of population. It's language is English, spoken by millions of people throughout the world.
The are a lot of important cities in England, one of them is Birmingham which is the second largest English city in the United Kingdom.
This city was so important during the Industrial Revolution that it has been known ever since as the “thousands business city”.
Liverpool lies in the west of the country. It has always been important for its port where most of exports take places.
Leeds located in the north of the country is one of the most important business places and has importants universities like the Metropolitan Universities.
Two other important cities are Oxford and Cambridge, whose rivaly is legendary.
Both of them are well known by their prestigious universities. They lie on the outside of London and they have a strong student tradition apart from being great resorts.
Oxford has the most ancient Universities in the country. Every other in habitant is a student that why night life is so lovely. It´s pubs are famous. One of them 'the parsonage' was Oscar wilde´s favorite pub.
If Oxford is the university of philosophers and writers. Cambridge is the one of scientific men like Charles Darwin or Isaac Newton who studied there.
As for London, the capital of country, is one of the most important cities in the world. It is locolated in thhe southeast of the country on the river Thames. It has been the political, commercial anda cultural centre for centures.
Over the centuries, London has developed, despite all the menace, like the great plage, the great fire, the civil war and second world war.
Its size is huge but travelling across it is very eassy as there is a wide network of underground called “the tube”.
An important feature of London is it multiracial nature. Its cultural and night life at tract a lot of visitors.
Among the most important building in London is the “Houses of parliament” which were built in 1840 and the are in the neogothic style.
“Backingham Palace” that has been the Royal Family's house since 1837. It has really valuable treausures the “Tower of London” is worldwide kwon too and the “Big Ben” is for English people like the “Eiffel Towe” is for French people, the emblem of the city.


Tipycal dishes

The most tipycal dishes of English cooking are “fish and chips” which are rolled in batter cod and fried potatoes.
An other tipycal dishes “Roast beef” whicho you can have rare, medium or well done. This dish trimmings are steamed vegetable and horseradish sauce.
There are famous “pies”, especially “Shepherds pie” which is made with mince beef meat and mashed potatoes.
And as a dessert the most know is apple pie.
