PALOMA Mª RÍOS PARTAL 2ºA BACH. One of my favourite dreams is to live near a beach, because it's the best place, in my opinion, where you can relax and listen to the sound of the sea in order to dream, You can refresh in the sea or swimming. Although living in a tropical area has a lot of problems, like the ones caused by tourism because the people make a lot of noise. Also, in this area you can have eviromental problems like a tsunami as you can see in the film 'The Impossible', where the sea destroys homes, schools, roads, streets and a lot of people died. To rebuild the devastased city many years of work and also a lot of money are needed. In conclusion, when you buy a home near the beach you should consider the problems that you perhaps will have in the future.
NOELIA JIMÉNEZ TIRADO 2ºB BACH. I have never thought about living in the Caribbean, but I would love to travel to these islands for holidays. Below, I will discuss on the advantages and disadvantages of living in the Caribbean. Firstly, the advantages are that it has hot temperatures all year and the sea temperatures are between 21ºC and 32ºC. The landscape is the most beautiful in the world, so it has a lot of species of animals and plants, like the Caribbean turtle, caimito and gold coqui. And the long beaches with white sand and lovely coloured water should be pointed out. On the other hand have to mention important factors like culture and language, because thanks to this anyone can live in this area with any language because we can find English, Spanish, French, Dutch among others and a big diversity of religions and musical rhythms. These are the advantages from my point of view for somebody who likes the cold, the weather is a disadvantage. Finally, disadvantages are tropical storms are especially frequent from June to December, above all in August and hurricanes dominate this area.
Gonzalo Rueda Luque 2ºA Bachillerato Living in a beautiful tropical area can be wonderful althruy it also has negative aspects. On the one hand, the life in a tropical place provides many advantages. For example: fresh food such as coconuts, bananas, fish among other kinds of food typical of these places. Also, there usually are good temperatures and people can go to the beach almost the whole year. On the other hand, living in tropical cities can be dangerous beacause these are many natural disasters for instance: The Katrina hurricane or Gustav. In addition in tropical areas like the Caribbean there is a great amount of drugs, delinquency and corruption. In conclusion, I would love living in a beautiful tropical area like the Caribbean although, I would take into account the negative aspects that have been told.
SABELA PUYOL TEIXEIRA 2B BACH "ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES" Well, in my opinion, as in all decisions, there are positive and negative aspects. On the one hand, the advantages of living in a place life the Caribeean are many: virging beaches, very good weather, and 365 days of sunny days. There is a continuous summer and people always say that the good weather makes people happier. I think tris is true. On the other hand, the disadvantages are firstly the techtonic movements and the highest probability of hurriacanes, tsunamis and other natural disasters. To conclude, living in a natural paradise this, implies necesary risks. But is a perfect and quiet place to live.
PATRICIA GUIRADO SALMERÓN 2ºB BACH We all like to live in tropical areas such as the Caribbean, but do we know what these countries are really like? For that reason, I will name the advantages and disadvantages that tropical areas may have: -The main and only advantage is the wonderful weather that they have and beautiful beaches too. You can get very dark and live like a queen, in short, it is a paradise! -The contrast, all that is in the rich area, because in the poorest areas people live very poorey and many thefts occur. Moreover, in these places there are many hurricanes. For that reason it is very dangerous to live there, In conclusion, the Caribbean is an area for resting and enjoying during a period of time, but it is not recommended for living.
María Ramírez Medina 2ª bachillerato B --Advantages. -The weather :it is summer , is hot and sunny , you can go to the beach , every day of the year. -The food : the food is healthier because the people eat more fruit than in other countries. -There are so many hotels and inside then there are always parties, travellin there is very cheap. there are so many inlands . the place is very comfortable and peaceful. --Desadvantages: -There are so many hunicanes and earthquakes many damages to the homes and the people from there , also a lot of people die. -The hospitals and health suptem is poor and not so good that in other countries. -There aren´t so many coomercial centres and shop like here in Spain they are poor countries.
The Caribbean looks like a place with many advantages, for example, the weather is very nice and allows you go to the beach many months of the year and have a good skin color. There is good seafood and many tropical fruits to make tasty juices. Life is very quiet, not stress, traffic noise and pollution. You can see exotic animals and practise water sports. However, there are some disadvantages. I am afraid of tsunamis, hurricanes and sharks. Moreover, I would be far from my family and friends. I trink the Caribbean is a place to go on holidays but not to live all the year. I prefer to live in Malaga.
Salvador Rueda Dominguez 2ºB In the first place, I'm going to talking about the advantages of living in a beautiful area like Caribbean. In the Caribbean there is good wheather and really goods beaches. There you always wear lightweight clothes. The Caribbean there are many tourisst and people, You can make friends!
On the other hand, in the Caribbean are Natural disasters happen such as storms, tsunamis, earthquakes...During 1990-2008, the Caribbean suffered one hundred and sixty five natural disasters. This forced people living there to emigrate.
In summary I prefer this tropical area for tourism only, because my home can be destroyed.
Almudena Mateos Gaspar 2Bach C In the first place I am going to talk about the advantages of living in a tropical area. One of the advantages is living most of the year in summer. Another advantage is that you are surrounded by vegetation. Also in the tropical climate organic matter the descomposition occurs more rapidly by making a highest temperature. Also one of the advantages is the comfort of clothes since you only need summer things as t-shirts, sandals, swimsuits,... besides you save space in the house because those clothes do not take up much space. In the second place, I am going to talk about the disadvantages of living in a tropical area. One of the disadvantages is the amount of rain which can fall because it rains much throughout the year. Also in this climate foods are usually go bad faster. In conclusion every climate has its advantages and disadvantages only you have to choose the one you like.
CARMEN GARCÍA JIMÉNEZ 2º BACH B - Do you think people should pay more attention to the environment in order to prevent natural disasters?
Today, we are in a society, that only enjoys spending money; that is to say, people earn money to spend it : the youth clothes, accessories, eating out, going to clubs, cars and motorbikes. On the other band, more adults boy toys for their children. We just see that we live in a wonderful world in which there is a lot to enjoy. Yes, I don’t deny it, but that “ wonderful ” time may endanger the world, our world. We don’t to see that there are disasters in many parts of the world, but as they don’t happen in our city, we don’t pay attention to them; but we don’t forget a natural disasters can happen anywhere, any time. For example, many families that don’t have enough money, live next to rivers or dangerous mountains and that can end up in rivers flooding their houses . Another example is the quantity of tsunamis there are each year. However, in those cities people build homes near the beach with very little security measures, and there are also cities where many hurricanes occur. In less developed countries we can observe great draughts. We shouldn’t forget a very habitual phenomenon, forest fires we caved take measures as more wells with water for helicopters. We don’t have to travel so far: so as to protect more hectares. In conclusion if all we cared a little planet, wouldn’t happen so many disasters; because most of them are our fault although we don’t want to cause them.
SAMARA PORRAS GALLEGO 2º BACHILLERATO C. Well , living in the Caribbean has got bad aspects and good points as in all cities. In my case, a bad thing is that it is never winter and it is always hot. Also on T.V. you can hear news of the strange illnes and rare and peculiar species. But not everything that people say is true. Places like the Caribbean are tropical paradises and you can do different things, for exemple If you want to be relaxed, you can rent a house on the beach and spend the rest of the day on the beach relaxing but If you want to like adventures, you can visit the ''Ruinas Mayas'' and it's something spectacular. In conclusion althought the Caribbean it's a natural place, I prefer living in other regions where the weather is colder.
MARIA DEL ROCIO CABELLO TOSCANO 2ºC ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF LIVING IN A BEAUTIFUL TROPICAL AREA LIKE THE CARIBBEAN From my point of view, living in a beautiful area, like the Caribbean, has some advantages an disadvantages.
