p) The Smiths were drinking in the pub.  They don't like              getting up early.

r) She was wearing a fur coat.  It must have cost her a lot of             money.
s) He was always sleeping.  She found this quite embarrassing.
t) Betty is talking to a boy.  Do you know him?  (Do you             know..)
u) Julia hadn't wanted to come in the first place.  The             Admiral had entrusted the important papers to her.
v) Very few people attended the service.  It took place in a            small chapel.
w) The television set was very near the sofa.  The boys were        watching it.
y) Alex had just taken the gun out of his pocket.  He never           went anywhere without his gun. (Alex, .....)
z) The writer wrote many great novel with that pen.  It is now            preserved.
