PRESENT SIMPLE
Uso:
Hábitos, rutinas, aficiones, hechos.
He always goes to school by bus
They don’t live in Spain.
She loves vegetables.
The Earth goes around the sun
Expresiones frecuentes:
Adverbios de frecuencia: always, sometimes, usually, often, never, rarely, seldom, hardly ever ( se colocan delante del verbo principal con la excepción de to be)
Combinaciones con every: every day/ every month, every year...
Once, twice, three times ...a day / a week/ a year....
Formación del presente simple:
1) AFIRMATIVAS
Recuerda que añadimos -S o –ES al verbo en la forma afirmativa cuando nos referimos
a él, ella o ello ( he, she, it )
I/ you/ we/ they love vegetables
He /she / it LOVES vegetables.
Si el verbo termina en "o, sh, ch, s, x" añadimos -ES para 3 persona singular ( he, she, it)
He goes to work by bike.
She watches films on the computer.
He washes the dishes every day.
2) NEGATIVAS
Para la oración NEGATIVA usamos DON’T o DOESN’T.
I/ you/ we/ they DON’T live in Spain.
He/ she/ it DOESN’T live in Spain.
3) PREGUNTAS.
Acuérdate de usar DO o DOES
El orden de de las preguntas: Auxiliar+ Sujeto+ verbo en Infinitivo
DOES he/ she / it live in Spain?
DO I / you / we / they live in Spain?
PRESENT CONTINUOUS
Uso:
1 Acciones que están ocurriendo ahora, en el momento de hablar ( o aproximadamente en el momento de hablar)
He is having lunch at the moment.
2. Acciones temporales
I usually eat lunch at home but this week I am eating at the restaurant near my house.
3. Futuro ( planes fijos)
I am travelling to France at Easter
Expresiones frecuentes:
now, right now, at the moment,
today, this morning, this afternoon, tonight.
Formación:
1 Afirmativas
El orden es el siguiente: Sujeto + am, is, are+ verbo –ing
I am eating/ I’m eating
You are eating/ You’re eating
He/she/it is eating/ He’s/ she’s / it’s eating
We are eating/ We’re eating
You are eating/ You’re eating
They are eating/ They’re eating
2. Negativas
I’m not eating
You aren’t eating
He/she/ it isn’t eating
We aren’t eating
You aren’t eating
They aren’t eating
3 Preguntas
Para las preguntas simplemente cambiamos el orden. Si la afirmativa era He is eating, la
pregunta cambia así: Is he eating?; They are eating- Are they eating?
