HALLOWEN HORROR STORY CONTEST

 2008/ 2009

Nightmare by Sara Sancho García  (2008)

It was midnight and Helen came home after a day with her friends. It was cold and windy and there weren’t any people on the street. Helen was frightened and she started to sing “two and two are four, four and two are six, six and two are eight and eight, sixteen”.

With this song she remembered her house. Each time she walked along this place, she saw the streetlight and the spot where a murderer had killed Mary. Helen thought that murderer wanted to kill her too.

While Helen was praying near the streetlight, all lights went off. Under the moonlight Helen saw a face, somebody she knew but she was still frightened.

It was starting to rain, a big storm. Helen started to run very fast, however, the sky was very dark and Helen couldn’t see anything. She only saw the streetlight that had blood stains, her sister’s blood.

Suddenly, some lighting showed Mary’s smashed face.

Mary, are you here? Help me, I’m frightened.

Help you? – Said the voice of a girl – you didn’t help me.

It was raining heavily and Helen was scared and cold.

What do you mean? – She asked, feeling very frightened – Help me! I’m going to freeze.

You should die, this is your fate. Ha! Ha! Ha!

Suddenly all went back to normal. Helen thought that it had been a nightmare but she was wet. In a moment the song started to sound “two and two are four, four and two are six, and six and two are eight and eight, sixteen”. This song was repeating each time louder and louder and Helen started to see all the images of Mary’s death.

She ran home. She went to her room and started to cry on her pillow. When she looked up, she saw two faces, the face of Mary and the face of a man that she didn’t know.

Beautiful day by Oksana Symotyuk  1 BACH A (2009)

On a calm winter day I was walking slowly in the park .The snow was falling and there was nobody on the street, it was a beautiful day.

But suddenly, some noise called my attention, I don't know why, but I decided to follow that sound (perhaps it was human human curiosity). The closer I got, the louder the noise became. It was horrifying: a poor girl was lying on the snow and the man or monster was ferosious eating her tummy! Everything around was full of blood! My hands were shaking! I didn't notice that that "thing" was looking at me!

I don't remember everything but I know that I started to run as fast as I could!I could hear the beat of my heart!I looked around...the monster wasn't following me.

Since then I can't sleep well, I keep under the gun my pillow. If that thing comes back for me I'll be ready.

THE WOMAN ON THE TRAIN by Jose David Cuenca Torres 1 Bachillerato A (2009)

Sarah was having a lot of fun on her best friend's birthday party, but she had to go home because it was very late. Sarah, luckily, took the last train that night. The wagon was almost empty, there were only three people sitting in front of her, not very far. Sitting between two men, there was a woman staring at her steadily. Her hair was matted, her lips were parted and her stockings were broken. Sarah thought the woman was a junkie. The woman kept staring at her steadily. Sarah was very uncorfortable so she began to look out the window.

After the next stop, the girl looked to the group again: the two men were looking at the floor, but the woman kept staring at her steadily. Sarah's heart started to beat faster and she began to look out the window again. She was really annoyed and couldn't bear the sight of that woman. At that moment the train doors opened. A man sat down beside her and the train started moving again. She was feeling safer because she was accompanied so she decided to look to the woman directly. Her sight was unbearable to Sarah.

At that moment, the man next to her grabbed her arm and whispered to her: "Don't say anything, get off with me at the next stop, please". Sarah was horrified. Her breath stopped and her heart was about to get out of her breast. She closed her eyes but she still felt her sight, there's wasn't an escape.

The train stopped, and the man grabbed Sarah's arm and pulled her out of the wagon. She opened her eyes. The train was already moving away. The man told her: "I'm sorry, but I'm a doctor and the woman who was sitting in front of us was dead. Those men were holding her".

"I want to do what I want, when I want".

Next day, when they were going back home Mark and his family had and accident.

He was unscathed but his brother and his father were seriously injured. The following morning  Mark´s father and brother died at the hospital.

It was midnight and I was alone in the house. Outside it was raining very hard- It was getting ready to go to bed when I suddenly heard a strange noise outside my room in the corridor. Then, when I looked at the door and quickly turned the key in the lock. Then I asked in a trembling voice. 'Who is it?'
-I'm your best dream -said the voice.
Her voice was quiet, so I opened the door.
Here there was a pretty and very beautiful woman. She entered into my room and said:
-You are very attractive...
I was very nervous and said:
-And you too.
Then, the woman went to me and kiss me. Really, that kiss was the best! But when I looked at her again, she was very strange. She wasn't a pretty woman; she was a horrible old woman!! She was smiling. Then, she said:
-You are already mine!
I was very scared!!!
Later, she held my arm and took me to a dark place.
-Where were we?
-In hell! I was alone because nobody loves me. So, I went to the world of the living to find someone.I looked form somebody but nobody liked me, until I saw you. Now, you are with me forever!!! -said laughing.
